No Mow & Low Mow May

No Mow & Low Mow May

No Mow/ Low Mow May is a conservation initiative that encourages people to stop mowing, mow less often, or to mow at a taller height for the month of May to create habitat and provide resources for bees and other early-season pollinators.  During the month of May, the City of Dodgeville will relax enforcement of long grass rules allowing Dodgeville residents to delay or reduce lawn cutting as a way to promote pollinator-friendly habitat early in the growing season.

No Mow & Low Mow May is a voluntary program for City residents.  However, residents are required to sign up at the link below indicating that they are participating in this initiative.
