Garbage and Recycling

The City of Dodgeville's garbage and recycling is contracted through Faherty, Inc. A fee of $114 per year ($9.50 per month) is added to the utility bill for all one and two-family dwellings. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your trash pick-up, please contact Faherty at the address listed below.

Trash Pickup

Trash will be picked up on normally scheduled days. Please have trash to the curb by 7:00 a.m. When there is a holiday prior to your scheduled day, your pick-up will be one day later.

Recycling

Recycling is mandatory in the City of Dodgeville. Please place all recyclable materials in the bin provided to you and it will be picked-up along with the regular trash. Recycle bins are available at City Hall for $8.50 each.

Disposal of leaves, yard waste, and brush - Available Year Round

Leaves, garden waste, grass clippings, flowers, and brush may be deposited at the appropriate locations in the Compost area on the East side of East Side Cemetery. No boxes, bags, or garbage is allowed.

Mulch and Compost

City residents are encouraged to help themselves to the mulch and compost located on the east side of East Side Cemetery.

Brush Pick-Up Dates

The City of Dodgeville will be picking up brush up to 6 inches in diameter and 6 feet in length on the weeks listed below:

    April 6, 2009 and April 20, 2009
    May 4, 2009 and May 18, 2009
    June 1, 2009
    September 14, 2009
    October 5, 2009 and October 19, 2009
    November 2, 2009

Branches must be brought to the curb by 7:00 AM on the Monday morning of the collection week.

Clean Up Days

Dumpsters will be available at the City Garage on Wednesday - Friday from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, and on Saturdays from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM for appliances, metal box springs, and tires for the following clean-up dates:

    2009 Spring Clean-Up May 13, 14, 15, and 16
    2009 Summer Clean-Up July 15, 16, 17, and 18
    2009 Fall Clean-Up October 14, 15, 16, and 17

    Please note, Clean-Up Day curbside pickup will be on Saturdays only during the above time periods. Furniture and mattresses should be placed at the curb for pickup. This is for City of Dodgeville residential use only!

No yard waste, blacktop, cement, or building materials please!! There will be normal garbage pickup during the week.
