Land Use Planning
The City adopted a new Comprehensive Plan in April 2005 to comply with
Wisconsin's Smart Growth law. All land use and transportation decisions
must be made in conformance with the Comprehensive Plan.
Community Development
Community development is one of the processes used to achieve the redevelopment
of areas of the city that may be blighted or under-utilitzed. The tools used for
redevelopment include tax increment finance districts, business improvement districts
and industrial parks.
